How to set  up a Zilliqa wallet

If you do not have a .zil wallet, here are two external sites where you can create one.
https://zillet.io/

And

ZilPay Wallet - a web 3 wallet on the Zil blockchain.  https://zilpay.io/

Its a simple process, the important thing to remember is to do these 3 things:

  1. Download and store the Keystore/JSON file (very safely - i.e. not on your computer -download to at least 2 memory sticks and store very safely).

  2. A password is created for the Keystore/JONSON file, ensure you write it down and store that just as safely as the file itself.

  3. Finally view the 12 word mnemonic phrase and write that down again twice, and store safely.

Creating a .zil wallet at Zillet.io

Choose your Domain

Step 1: Ensure your have typed in the address correctly.

The site address bar, should display a padlock, implying its a secure connection, also its advisable to bookmark this site so you don’t have to search for it via a search engine, thereby reducing the risk of a phishing attempts.

Step 2: Click on ‘Create A New Wallet’ link.

Step 3: Select the option ‘By Keystore/JSON file’ as shown in image above.

Step 4: Create and use a strong unique password and write it down on multiple pieces of paper and store it somewhere safe.

This password encrypts (protects) your private key. It does not generate your private key. This password alone will not be enough to access your Zilliqa Token.

Step 5: Click the ‘Create New Wallet’ button.

Step 6: Download your Keystore/JSON File, and save the file to a USB drive. (This file is the encrypted version of your private key.  You need the password to access it. It is safer than your unencrypted private key but you must have your password to access it in the future).
You’ll need this file later to use the secure purchasing Escrow service at Unstoppable Domains.

Step 7: Read the warning. If you understand it, click the ‘Continue’ button. (Print your paper wallet backup and print out the current page to save your private key, using the web browser’s print option. Its not recommended to write it down by hand, if there is an error, it will prevent you from accessing your wallet later).

Congratulations you have created your .zil wallet.

Before you start using the wallet, it's recommended that you log out of this space and try to log back in, to ensure you have saved the password correctly and can access the Keystore/JSON File. Do this by returning to Step 2, and access the wallet through the KeystoreFile.
